Liahona is an independent application developed by believers, for believers. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

By joining via an invite link and creating a profile, you agree to these terms.

Your privacy matters to us. Liahona is designed to give you full control over what you share. This policy explains in plain language what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

• Name — a biblical name you choose, or a custom name if you prefer
• Avatar — optional visual identity
• Language preference — to display the app in your language
• Email address — optional, only if you want notifications or invite emails
• Phone number — optional, reserved for future features
• Date of birth — optional
• Gender — optional
• Daily activity — your habit completions and streaks, to track your progress
• Posts you share — verses or reflections you publish to your ward community
• Device info — basic browser information for technical compatibility only, not used for tracking

We use your data only to operate Liahona:

• To keep you signed in and maintain your profile
• To track your daily habits and streaks
• To show you ward events and send optional reminders
• To display your posts to other members of your ward
• To send invite emails on your behalf when you request it
• To generate anonymous, aggregated activity summaries visible only to your ward leader — individual data is never shown to anyone

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running the app.

Your data is shared only in these limited circumstances:

• Within your ward: Your name, avatar, and posts are visible to other ward members using Liahona.
• Your ward leader: Sees only anonymous, aggregated summaries — never individual data.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by applicable law.

All data is stored on the server where Liahona is hosted. No data is sent to third-party advertising or analytics platforms.

Liahona respects your privacy rights under applicable law, including LGPD (Brazil), GDPR (European Union), and PIPEDA (Canada). You may:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data at any time via your profile settings
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent for optional features such as push notifications at any time in Settings

By using Liahona, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the application.

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada (Province of British Columbia).

Liahona is a spiritual growth and community tool. You agree to use it in a way that is consistent with its purpose. You may not:

• Post content that is offensive, harmful, or contrary to the values of the LDS community
• Attempt to access data, accounts, or systems that are not yours
• Use the app for commercial purposes without written permission
• Impersonate another person in a harmful way
• Use automated tools to interact with the application

We reserve the right to suspend or remove access for users who violate these terms.

The Liahona application — including its design and branding — is the intellectual property of its developers, except where otherwise noted.

Your content: Posts and reflections you submit remain yours. By posting, you grant Liahona permission to display that content to members of your ward.

Liahona uses your browser’s local storage — not cookies — to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. This data stays on your device and is never shared.

We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. No third-party cookies are set by Liahona.

You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings, which will sign you out of the app.
